Hi! I am asking for a friend in tax - “I’ve been in the AWM tax practice for 7 years (4.5 yrs at pwc and 2.5 at private) and am looking to switch to EY’s national tax team (passthrough group). How do they conduct an interview and how technical can it be? Also any general thoughts/ experiences on boomeranging back to big 4 after private? EY PwC

What’s WLB like in business roles at Google?
Anyone at Google open to networking? My new role (haven’t started yet) is senior and I want to start building my network in advance so I don’t feel so lost and alone at such a big company when I join!! I love getting to know people! If you’re open to getting to know a Noogler and be part of my network/support system, I’d really love to chat and learn about you/what you do/where your group fits into the big picture. Google DM me :) 🙏🏻

GCP has more L6 roles than many other google orgs, therefore there are more opportunities for promotions, probably in 3 years but it depends. I would suggest you to apply now instead of hoping to be levelled differently with an external promo.
If you join now, in 3 years hopefully you'll be L6, you will know products and clients well, how the system works, you will have consolidated many internal relationships etc., resulting in significant momentum that you wouldn't have as a new joiner
This. L6 has a much wider impact than L5. If you join now, you'll have the right network and skillsets that you need to succeed in L6 by three time you get promoted. This is another perspective you must consider.
I think it depends all on the org. For L5 to L6, probably would take 3 years or so.
This is just hearsay. But a ton of my fellow EMs exited to GCP as L6. Apparently it is much easier to snag an L6 in cloud vs other parts of Google given the crazy number of roles open right now.
All to say - maybe keep pushing for an L6 role directly?
Similar 6-18 months (started at the Firm post MBA). Mostly S&O roles
Following. Are these EMs with prior cloud experience as well?
No cloud experience; tech focused studies at the Firm
