The communications team at my job was just dealing with an issue where an agency used Spanish grammar incorrectly and it was caught minutes before the communication was supposed to go out. Of course their team featured 0 people of color or Spanish speaking people and it took someone from our side who is completely fluent in Spanish to catch it.
Grammar is language agnostic. And should be right. Period.
Not even putting the effort in of properly checking marketing content with a native speaker (for both grammar and culture) is such a clear way of saying "you are an afterthought to us. We don't care about you, we just want your money". I'm Canadian and it's not uncommon to see ads that were clearly written for the US market. It's immediately noticeable to Canadians every time.
