Cuz they can’t hire or retain anyone. Nobody wants to work for that fuggin evil regime.
@CW1, nothing. It’s just a popular company for people to rail against as a means of expressing their political beliefs, when they temporarily forget about the fact that their wireless company probably finances plenty of causes they also don’t believe in. I’m a lefty, so do note that this is an attempt at an objective perspective here. Also, they have fairly diverse creatives within their ranks and they pay well. I just think the bashing of it is a wee bit hypocritical. Personally, I don’t want to work there, but that’s because the inner office politics seem like a mess. And, you could also say that about a lot of places.
You answered your own question.
Not Creative X team-specific, but a friend of mine shared an email they received from a Meta recruiter recently.
Subject: "Last Attempt to contact from Meta specialty teams"
Body: "I want to be respectful of your time and not spam your inbox, but I know how easy it is for messages to get lost or forgotten about... Just thought I'd try one last time, any chance you're interested now?
If not, let's stay in touch. You never know what may change in the future! Can I ping you again in a few months to check back in?"
Hell of a "last attempt", their desperation is pretty hilarious.
I had a terrible experience going through the interview process there. And a friend who works on the team describes it as very corporate and lots of layers of approval. On the flip side, lots of talented people and some high profile work.
