I resigned from TCS in August and in another 18 days it's my LWD with TCS, now i got call from my lead saying they will provide canada onsite opportunity and he said he has multiple projects at onsite which he can give me, some are saying it's just a gimmick to retain you nothing else, my DM asked me to say yes or no by tomorrow so that he can start the process he said once i get approval mail then only i can take back my resignation. Berlin is better than Spain, just look at the volume of good work coming from there but, specially, the relevance of the work.
Lola is the best bet for a junior by far, I agree.
Leo Burnett is not good though, besides the lotto work from previous years, super boring stuff. Traditionally some strong shops are McCann, Contrapunto and DDB in Barcelona. The latest 2 are not doing as much good stuff as they used to. Other shops are irrelevant: Havas, Saatchi, Grey, Publicis, Y&R...nothing there. Small shops are doing better art direction and film: &Rosás, Oriol Villar, etc.
Y&R Madrid - mostly prints and radio (=ghost work for awards), I’d say avoid.
Leo Burnett Madrid - always decent real work, good network experience.
Lola MullenLowe Madrid - really cool work every year, but toxic culture.
For a junior — Lola is the best bet, they’ll treat you like shit but you’ll build a great book.
Alternatively, if you are into nice people and healthy culture — try to get into Leo Burnett. But it might be a lot slower compared to Lola.
MRM//McCann has just won a Grand Prix (in Entertainment) - but I’d give it a couple of years, I haven’t seen anything interesting from them before, maybe it was just a coincidence.
Compared to where? Very few jobs, very small salaries, all good work comes from just two or three agencies. Better than Berlin, worse than Paris.
