How many backup plans should one have to minimize risk when working with suppliers overseas? I would say 3 is reasonable and feasible...but maybe others would disagree?

I think having three backup plans is a good starting point when working with suppliers overseas. I have found that having more than three backup plans makes it difficult to keep track of them all and can actually end up creating more risk. I mean, having three plans gives you the flexibility to adapt to changes quickly and efficiently.
