85k base or $3500 bimonthly salary. $700 to taxes, $300 to 401k/HSA, $500 toward expenses, and 2k toward the house fund. Moved back home during covid to cut out 1k monthly rent and accelerate FIRE/home purchase. Going crazy haha
I reached FI several years ago at 32...switched careers and took a 50% pay cut and now defer 100% into 401k for first half of year, start getting a paycheck mid year and save all of that too! Lol. Started giving more too...current goal is to give a million over the next decade while adding another couple of million net worth. Gotta keep resetting the bar! Momma always said never rest on your laurels. Pre tax earned income is around $80k annual....but lately that has been dwarfed by my little snowball rolling downhill.
I was single most of the journey and my spending went up a bit after cohabitation began with my girlfriend 5 years ago...but no kids, which certainly helped me keep my spending low. I actually was saving for my future family in large part and then found out we can’t have kids...so I’d rather have the kids than the money, but it’s nice to ease up a bit on my extreme frugal tendencies and maybe this will give me an excuse to focus more on the journey than the distant future.
$145k base - $3499 bi-monthly - 3500/mo savings
$105k, $2.1k biweekly paycheck. Wife and two kids are on my insurance, I max out 401k, take out a little for HSA, and also for dependent care.

I save 85% of post-tax earnings, including Roth 401k, after tax 401k, match, stock discount, and bonus. I count 401k toward savings. Insurance, transit, etc. are in the 15% spend.
Impressive! Has it been difficult to not change lifestyle/expenses as your salary increased? Do you have a spouse or kids? I ask bc I would love to be in the same boat down the road and am not sure how family will impact my finances
Max 401k & HSA
$3,460 biweekly take-home pay
$460 goes to short and long-term savings
$3k goes to living expenses for family of 3

$140 base, $2500 bi-weekly, typically saving $1000 of that $2500. More like $2300 right now.
Husband and I make 193 base.
Depending on when the pay period hits we bring 10-12k a month.
Always max out our IRAs in the beginning.
Husband doesn’t have an option for 401k (pension). I do have a 401k, I contribute 7% to that.
Mortgage is 1,500, but sometimes we make double the payments (3,000).
We are both in MBAs program now so tuition is a big expense for us as well.
By the end of the month, we have anywhere 3-7k left. Recently, we have been continuing to hit the mortgage harder because the market right now scares me until after the election.
Once I see how things go in the election we will continue with stocks.
$718
Biweekly paycheck is ~4K (not including 401k, after tax contribution, 10% stock plan contribution). Save 3-4K each month on top of that
