Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

$175-250k. Some even get to $300k
Base
Managing Directors at Deloitte can make substantially more than that in any given year. A lot of experts or rain makers are brought in as MDs and paid very large sums of money
M2 is correct.
Was a srmgr at EY and a D and K. Can confirm both responsibilities and compensation map out for at least these two. Would be surprised if it wasn’t true for D and P as well.
As for mapping, when a firm had both a “srmgr” and “director” level, the “srmgr” level was more of a 3rd/4th year manager level, rather than the senior manager level at EY and D.
As of ~2014 at D on the fed side, new directors (now managing directors after the title change a few years ago) started in the general vicinity of $300k TC. At the time, the highest TC I'd heard of was somewhere around $650k for a very tenured (15+ years) fed director.
I don't know the breakdown between base and bonus, just the top-line figure.
Slightly wider band here. But right mark. Your success depends on whether your practice lead feeds you enough work. Kiss ass to survive or out.
D at PwC (role before partner/MD) base runs $189k base (tier 2 city) to about ~$250 base for a senior director. Bonus is ~10-35%,with higher bonuses generally going to most senior directors about to make partner (up to ~$100k)
When the Sony hack happened, some files from someone previously from Deloitte HR were dumped by the hackers. One of those files was a spreadsheet with compensation information for many partners and directors.
It showed one of the directors making over $1 million per year. I’m sure that’s very rare, but it would seem it was at least possible under some circumstances to go pretty high as a director.
