This. In NY, starting salaries for just out of college kids are mid-forties plus OT. In SF/SV, closer to 55. (So much less than legal secretaries at first). Senior paras in the Bay Area often make 125K and up, some at 200K plus OT. But they are called upon to work hours nearly as bad as associates, and are always "less than" attorneys in the hierarchy.
I was a senior transactional para in the Valley for years before law school. I learned a lot. It sucked being asked to give and give and still be treated badly. Much happier as an atty.
Depends. Some senior paras at top NY firms are 200k+
I was BigLaw lit para in NYC for 8 years. The game is to give a crap base salary so there is a need to work a ton of OT. At my last firm, I was hired with 4 years of experience at 55K, but ended up making almost $40K in OT, which is pretty much the only way you can survive. When I left (aka was asked to resign) after 4 years to go to night school in 2012, I was at $58,500 base. It was fun, learned a lot, made great friends, but it's a rough life cuz you don't get treated as well as the lawyers and are the first to get your sad 2 week's salary bonus cancelled at the first whiff of financial issues. I didn't take a vacation for 3 years and worked almost every weekend. Hence why I went straight in-house after law school.

Can be 6 figures in biglaw in high cost of living areas. But varies a ton firm to firm and city to city.
I worked at a mid size firm in Boston, 80k when i left. That was with a bachelor's and 16 years experience.

More. Mid market regional firms pay that to many and 90-100k to some.

Depends on what city they're in. Paralegal positions are more variable than associate salary where everyone is in lockstep.
I’m at a NYC midsized firm (100 attys) and our secretaries top out at 100k + bonuses + OT + 401k matching (which attnys do not get). Paras make more than our first years—so definitely over 120k. It truly all depends on the place.
