Hello! I recently applied for a Travel Procurement Senior Manager role at PwC (role is in NYC and I’m not NYC-based but I believe certain roles can be primarily remote). I have 5+ years of experience in this field and the description/company culture seem like a perfect match to what I’m looking for. Are there any fish from PwC and/or their talent acquisition team that can provide a reference post-submission and insight on the hiring process? Thanks!!
They asked for all documents for releasing offer letter. After uploading that, they sent BGV links which was completed way back in April. Now its June, still i am waiting for Offer Letter. Recruiter not receiving calls! Ghosted by the firm or these things happen at the firm regularly? Wipro

Walking my dog! I get exercise/movement without it feeling like exercise.
@OP: I hope you get over your fear! I’m sure that was scary and not everyone is a dog lover, so that’s real. At the same time, I’m not gonna lie, I laughed because of the way you just put it out there and kept it moving. 😂
Lame, but true: peloton. I love the community feel and challenging myself. Then sitting on the couch watching Netflix feels like a nice reward
Agreed. Same here. Couch potato time is the best.
I’m also in the binge Netflix camp...but when the weather is nice I love sitting on my patio with a glass of wine after work. If I finish work early, sometimes I can get motivated to go to a dance class or go to the gym...but usually I’m wiped out by the time I log off for the day.
Ugh I’m always so tired! Maybe I need to figure out why…. I must need to eat more veggies or something
I do restorative yoga on peloton every night before I go to sleep - it is a great way to to unwind.
Also, to sound as nerdy as possible: I like to do puzzles and scrapbook. Both are things I can do with the tv on in the background, which makes me less likely to scroll Instagram while watching Netflix
Ooo I want to get a cute puzzle I could glue together and hang up as art!! Any recommendations?
I love going out to nice restaurants and trying new food. In another life I’d love to be a food critic or food/travel guru 😍 honestly, before my SO and I dated, I would go to nice dinners alone or go with friends. Sit at the bar. Meet some interesting people
Since we try to only go out to eat on the weekends, I find cooking/baking after work enjoyable, too.
During the pandemic I also started dabbling in painting. I’m no Picasso, but it’s fun and relaxing!
Haven’t been told I was cool in long time 🥺😄 But, the trick is, go somewhere nice. Splurge on a nice glass of wine or a fancy-pants cocktail. People watch (it’s so interesting to see the dynamics between the people that come in!), and make friends with the bartender!
I generally use my free time to do more work because I have no free time.
alright, in my iota of free time I try to maintain a sense of humor…
Sitting outside on my building’s roof. Taking a walk in a nice neighborhood at dusk. Catching up with friends and family on FaceTime (as long as I don’t use the time to complain about work).
Love FaceTiming my friends and family!! Nice idea
Hit the gym. Load up the bar and swear loudly with every rep.
Hahahaha actually this sounds fun. I’m just too shy to go to the gym and lift amongst the beast mode dudes
Drink?
Wish I could find this funny (if that was the intent) but the amount of alcohol / substance reliance that happens to folks in our profession really saddens me. I’ve actually gone off drinking for the past month to help regulate my anxiety and it’s helped a lot. It also helps me show up more authentically as myself in social settings rather than masking who I am.
I won’t be sober forever, but I hope to stop relying on substances as a coping mechanism for my own well-being. Hope anyone reading will consider the impacts of substances they are using as well.
Anyway, with a mocktail in hand, cheers!
I watch TV, play video games, and browse the internet more than I should. When I actually have energy, I try to do something artistic, go on a walk, or read for fun.
Walking, hiking, or a barre class — not as bad as a hard gym session, but really healthy and a good mental break. Also, those allow for my other hobby — baking.
Wow cool!! I love walking and I’m a little awkward but barre might be a nice way for me to make friends, honestly the hardest thing for me is never knowing what to expect in terms of work emails / timing!
Reading! It’s been a life long hobby of mine and my happiness is directly related to how much I am reading non-law material I find interesting.
Workout, read a book, cook, play with my dogs. Honestly, the last thing I want to do after work is binge tv because I've stared at a screen all day.
