I am with FIS with last 12 years, and I have seen layoff only once. That to around 25-30 people out of 3000+ employees in Pune location.
It's good company with job security, good wlb.
It good company but last year they didn't provide any increment that's reason most people Move out
Fis is atleast better in comparison to capg or infy..
they are mix of service + product.. but timings are flexible, no swipe in mostly.. but no onsite..
Come to FIS. Its nice here.
Job security is there but some projects are on really old tech stack and they are using many in house frameworks. So just confirm this before joining if it matters for you.
Tech stack also matters but job security is also my main concern.
Capgemini project is on latest tech stack but not sure about lay off or job security there ?
Capgemini project - .Net Core, Microservices, Angular
FIS Project - .Net MVC
IBM Project - don't know
Fis is good and they are migration old legacy projects with new technologies and job security, WLB is also there..
Yes FIS don't encourage counter offers. Same happened with me.. But in FIS you will get your variable pay fully, it is not based on percentage. Not sure about Capegemini. You can just enquire about the benefits of both companies as well..
I have worked in only product based companies and I feel layoffs are lot lesser compared to service based companies (my observation).
I joined FIS recently and heard it has good job security but I have no idea about past layoffs.
And yes, Fis doesn't encourage counter offer. They didn't do for me as well.
I think you should not worry about job security in CapG. Also I heard they have overall good culture and good WLB, altho' it varies from project to project.
It offers best package and latest tech stack it seems.
My reco is you go for Capgemini. 👍
