I am currently interviewing at TikTok for the Content Partnerships Lead role. Can anyone share some insight into the salary bands in the Sub-Saharan African market? Should I benchmark with the global rates?
Any tips and experiences interviewing in this region are also welcome - and highly appreciated! :)

Hi All, Today I've resigned and my LOD is 2 Sept. Can anyone please let me know for these 90 days salary would be credited only after FnF. Or June'22 salary will be credited as usual, however, July and September salary would be credited during FnF. Please confirm or suggest.

Hello Fishies,
Please can pour some suggestions as I need to confirm by tomorrow.Got offer from EY in Technology Consulting at a Senior Consultant Band 4...15 LPA + 10% hike...YOE is 10. Will be my 2nd change.I asked them to wait asI am expecting a market revision. I mentioned to HR in earlier discussion but now they r now asking me to join immediately without considering the revision.
Is SC band 4 a senior role and salary is justified?

Sorry to say but you sound extremely confused. I have so many friends who are absolutely sure that they want to be in india / not in India. For both the categories, they’re sure about that irrespective of the salary they’re earning. You should also think along the same lines. Are you happy with your life in india in general? You have a household income of 45L which is good. In future, even if you increase that to 60-70L by switching, will that satisfy your needs or the life you’re looking for? That’s what you should try answering. If the answer is no even at 60–70L, then you’re leading a pointless life of chasing after money for no reason whatsoever.

Dude! You already have enough. Start giving to society now.

With 45 LPA as total salary, it would only make sense if you get north of 200k USD. IF you're targetting SF, then 250k+ would be a fair compensation. Add another 100k for your wife too.
That said, if I were in your position (I'm not married, but i too make 30LPA), I'd try to get 80-90LPA (combined) in next 5-6 years and continue living like a king here.
I agree that purchasing an Audi 6 would be difficult here in India. But atleast you'll not have to do your dishes everyday.
He was just using the term as a reference.
BTW I do my own dishes since 2020. :)
Lockdown has really taught me to be self sufficient.
Once you have kids, your views on what you need in life changes very quickly. Several families move abroad not knowing if it's the right choice. If you have family or friends it makes the decision easier.
I have read lot of quora and reddit threads and can confirm that no country offers everything you consider best. There are pros and cons for everything.
List down with your spouse on which country both of you want to move and why it's better and if it's worth sacrificing what you have in India.
Sometimes it's better to try going abroad when you are a young family rather than regretting later that you did not try.

How much Years of Experience you and your wife hold. I believe for India, 45 LPA(Combined) is really good. I have seen folks getting 5K per month with family and still trying to spend their livelihood(Not in IT). You can surely increase your salary by switching, but switching shouldn't be just for monetary purpose, you should also consider points like:
1. wlb
2.Techstack you working on
3.work culture, colleagues
4. Salary based on requirement/if you feel that company is lowballing or any other reason that justifies your move
At last its your move :) , If you want to move then just ponder on it. Do you have kids, just asking to get perspective of how the family structure is to tell to go onsite or not..
With 45l combined, you should stay in India. It will further increase on switching. You both can live a lavish life here.
Abroad, you need a very high salary to compensate for the same. Nd outside the quality of life may b better but that comes in expense of doing everything yourself, high tax rate, not able to visit india in emergency.
Also, life becomes very dull in winters.
Ps. I have stayed few years outside, so saying from personal experience
