Hi All,
After ED round of interview I got a mail from HR asking to submit few documents. In the mail HR has mentioned that I'm one of the shortlisted candidate and final selection is yet to be made. So how are my chances of getting an offer.
Is it something common that happens in JPMC.

Well, you ARE the writer so it will naturally be more you. Nobody looks at a comp and goes, I wonder what the writer did here.
But anyways, your partner should help with scene ideas, maybe dialogue, just overall structure but you are responsible for turning everything into a proper script.

Your partner should help you come up with the concept, scenarios, and overall idea of where you want the script to go. It should be on you to craft those thoughts into the script -- you are the writer.
Uh, you're the writer? I never understand writers who expect their AD to write things.
The best ADs can write a little, and the best CWs can art direct a little.
When I was an AD, my partner and I brainstormed ideas/concepts/directions and whatever. I'd proof his copy. But I spent so much time creating the visuals for everything that I didn't have the bandwidth to sit in on the scriptwriting. I think most ADs have way too much on their plates for that. I always found that the copywriter (my partner and others) had much more free time. The script is ours if we brainstormed, just like how the visuals are informed by the copy.
understand. i’ve felt this before. just make sure you and your partner are aligned with the script. that me/us feeling will feel unbalanced at the start but it’ll change as you start getting into the nitty gritty of the visual world you’re creating and your AD gets to flex more.
This balance needs to flex with how much time you each have to dedicate to it. You should run things past them and ask for alternate ideas, scenes etc. Overall though you’re the writer to it does fall you to deliver scripts.
Just make sure you both know them by heart, both can present without reading off the screen, create moments where your AD can add in quips during the presentation and always use “we” instead of “I”
I know plenty of writers who would be happy to pair up with your AD and just have them getty search stock images all day. Most writers aren't trying to come up with an award winning idea. They just want to present something that the client approves so they can leave work and get back to their mediocre homely lives as fast as they can.

As an AD I love to contribute/ help write scripts!
