How often do you prefer to get paid? My job pays bi weekly, but I know people sometimes get paid monthly. I feel like having a bigger gap between pay periods would make me more weary of my expenses.

I've always gotten paid biweekly. This feels like the standard and works fine for me. My only gripe is that the paychecks aren't 3-4x bigger 🙃

like

I used to get paid weekly and it was terrible! I felt like I never had any money, and I was constantly having to scrounge for my bills. Now I'm paid biweekly and I'm a lot more on top of my finances.

I prefer biweekly. Maybe it’s because I don’t like that much gap between my paychecks

I agree with this. I wouldn't know what to do if I got paid monthly. You really have to budget more carefully so you don't spend it all when you first get it haha.

Bi-weekly since age 14. Easier to budget. While in the military it was the 1st & 15th. That created its own problems. LOL, I only got $800 a month back then! Everyone was trying to shop & go to the credit union at the same time. Hurry up and wait.

I would like to transfer my career to Healthcare Data Analytics. I’m gaining my data analytics certification by the ending of November. I’ve also worked and still currently working for great healthcare company’s. I also have lots of great healthcare data experience. My only concern is no degree. What can I say to recruiters that will WOW them or replace the fact I have no degree because that’s what most of these company’s require.

So I say this with complete humility and an understanding that this is a fortunate-ish situation to be in. I’m in a position where I am tied to nothing, I have no children, spouse, or house. My job, which I’ve loved until some recent significant leadership changes, is sucking the life out of me and I think it may be time for a change. Because I am able to “pick up and go” I’m open to opportunities and locations. I’ve never worked with a recruiter but was hoping I could get some recommendations!
