How often do you think about quitting your job? I find myself fantasizing about it every day. I’ve even cleared out my office even though I’m not quitting for another couple of months - and I swear it felt so so so good to walk out with a bag of my personal belongings. I have a couple of personal items still there and I’m like excited to take them back home with me on Monday.

Multiple times per week. I’m so maxed out on stress and work demands that I sometimes fantasize about working in a library or quaint bookstore filled with children and everyday patrons. Ah, but alas… I can’t afford such simplicity, golden (maybe silver) handcuffs and all.

I quit my job because I got another offer but it was rescinded. While I’m stressed, I’m still happier than I was at my job

In 2018, I quit after seven months from my then employment. I tried to get back to 9-5 on-site jobs but I realised that freelancing was my true calling and I have been able to do other things while Freelancing as a lawyer.

Daily. Then I quit last month and started my new job last week. The difference is night and day.

What do you do when you feel the goalpost has been/is being moved re: billable requirements? Like there's a spoken vs unspoken? I chose this job based on billables vs salary and what I'm being told I'm expected to do now is 20-30% (at least) > than what was initially agreed upon. Given my other life responsibilities, this is creating a huge strain & I feel like this is slowly getting harder & harder on my spouse & kids. I'm grateful to have lots of good work but not sure how to course correct.
