Definitely update it but you don’t need to overthink it. Just get a recent enough picture so that when someone meets you in person there won’t be a weird moment where they realize you don’t actually look like your profile pic anymore.
Better to have an old one on LinkedIn then a dating website. Lol.

Mine was about 8 years old taken when trying to get an internship in college as well. I recently just disabled it so I’m now faceless
I’d say if you look significantly different, then change it. If not, no worries.

If you are any way involved in sales of your business services, it should be updated quarterly at a minimum to keep in line with new/emerging items.

Mine is probably 10-11 years old too. I’ll change it eventually but it’s not a priority and I don’t have very many pictures of myself much less any that would be appropriate for a professional headshot.
