How soon is too soon (or frequent) to follow up about receiving an offer letter that hasn't come yet?

If the recruiter set an expectation. “We should hear back by…” I would follow up on that day EOD.

like

I would follow up after a week or two personally, unless they give you a specific date that it would be done by

After a week, if I haven't heard from them, I usually check the status of my application.

I usually follow up if I haven't heard back in a week.

I'd say 3-7 days. That's what I usually do. But you should follow up only once a week.

Someone I know just finished an executive education program at Wharton that cost $70k… no letters after his name now, just a certificate. These programs seem like the height of grifting to me. or is even a certificate from a top-tier business school really worth that much?

Good Morning all,

Since I pivoted into TA (from the Wild West known as Finance) Tech Recruiting has always been the goal. But I’m having a hard time finding a way to get into that space (I do understand there’s a hiring crisis). Nevertheless, does anyone know of tech companies that are hiring? I may be low on the experience side so I’m willing to look at contract/ entry roles as well. Also, any advice will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hey 🐟🐟

I’m hiring a Technical Recruitment Lead for our team. We’re a health technology company with offices in Canada & the US. We’re nearly 900 employees and reached 700Mil in revenue this year. Our sights are set on reaching unicorn status in the next few years 🦄. We’re privately held with a possible future IPO so it’s a great time to join at the right time if you’re interested in helping fuel the growth to take a company public.

Hi fishes, my friend recently had a bitter experience with Dish Network. So her profile was shortlisted and they asked few questions over email. It did take good 2hrs to answer and she replied back. HM said we are good to go for interview and sent an invite. On the day of interview nobody turned up, neither they gave an update later. She did follow up for a couple of days but no response. Is there any reason why this happens ? Me being in HR field felt this to be a little unprofessional.
