Hi guys, After CAF completion by last week, yesterday I received a call from the HR for the second round of evaluation. So, I attended it yesterday and performed well by answering 90-95% of the questions. Even the interviewer gave good comments on my performance. But suddenly today I received an email that my candidature isn't suitable for the role and they're keeping my profile in the database. Does this mean they'll call me if there are openings with some other project?

I hate working on commission. I am a naturally shy person and approaching guests in our store is intimidating enough, it's even worse when some of my more socially savvy coworkers notice me trying to strike up a conversation with someone and they come in and literally steal my client from me.

I'm not super happy in tech-specific recruiting and find it a lot more laborious than other verticals. We really struggle to find qualified candidates who are also willing to accept starting salaries and more equity. Sometimes I want to move away from this. Has anyone else felt this way?

Agency recruitment managers! How do y’all set goals for your department? Do you focus on outreach goals, applicant goals, purely hiring goals no matter the outreach numbers, conversion rates, etc? Many companies are on a hiring freeze, as well as many layoffs have and are occurring. Does anyone know if this is temporary? Will there be an uptick in the coming next quarter?

A question for recruiters with knowledge of Applicant Track Systems (ATS). Do products like Greenhouse show if an applicant has applied at other companies? I imagine not, as it would be a massive privacy violation if that was the case.

She’s only coming back part time. My leadership already said no to hiring another full time recruiter. Has anyone had any good experience with contract recruiters? Hi fishes, my friend recently had a bitter experience with Dish Network. So her profile was shortlisted and they asked few questions over email. It did take good 2hrs to answer and she replied back. HM said we are good to go for interview and sent an invite. On the day of interview nobody turned up, neither they gave an update later. She did follow up for a couple of days but no response. Is there any reason why this happens ? Me being in HR field felt this to be a little unprofessional.

I’ve recently left my job (unhappy with it) and am applying for new work. I have a few irons in the fire at the moment. I’m curious about a trend I am seeing: I like to think I’ve well documented my abilities and functions in my CV, as well as my portfolio. I’ve noticed that for some of these jobs that I can check every single box in the job description, I won’t even get an interview. I’m wondering if many of these jobs are posted for internal hires, but some stay open for weeks. What gives?
