I think they're intended more for people whose companies pay for them.
Pretty much, I can't imagine shelling out 70k for a certificate...might as well just go back and get a fun degree at that point

The only one of those certificates that holds weight is Harvards program for board members
It depends on who you are and what your goals are. Maybe your friend needed to have Wharton on his resume for a position, or maybe the company he works for paid for the program.
I took Harvard online courses in college (didn’t go to Harvard). Does that count as going to Harvard? If so I gotta update my LinkedIn because I hated my time at Yale

It's not really that worth it. For $70k? Nope. Your experience is way more valuable than that.
Yes it is indeed expensive getting even just a certificate from Wharton Business School. I was given the chance to choose a school before but I never opted for Wharton because of the expenses I might incur.
