My two cents…understand WHY you believe whatever it is you believe in. Be able to argue for and against your own position.
Start with a good wiki topic based on a current event and begin to spiral.
It’s just a starting point that is easy and accessible
I just check Facebook
You need to strengthen your critical thinking skills. That doesn’t mean being critical of everything, but rather learning to weigh what you hear against what you know to be true and what reputable research supports…
I love the fact that you can only sharpen a knife by drawing it against something harder than itself.
I feel like a well-honed worldview requires the exact same concept: applying your beliefs, feelings, and the preferably evidence-based facts that you use to underpin your worldview against other people’s views, and then honestly reevaluating your view to see how it held up. Sometimes someone else will make a better point than you, and you owe it to yourself to see how that fits in to what you believe, and adjust as necessary.
Get your news from well-respected sources. I like Foreign Affairs for long-form geopolitical takes by actual, legitimate experts in their respective fields. AP and Reuters are good for neutral takes on current events. I loved Al Jazeera when it had a dedicated US arm; they have bias in that they are owned by a foreign government, but their reporting seemed pretty neutral and substantially more in-depth than their US contemporaries.
But really, i get the most out of talking to people whose views I respect, yet I know we have different political leanings. I learn a lot, fact check them, and then try to be clinical in evaluating if their opinions were better founded than mine.
Also, stay away from the Politics Bowl. There are about 3 people there who aren’t on some watch list with the authorities. The rest are bots and deeply troubled people with the critical thinking skills of a 5-year old.
Consume information, any and all. But don’t be one of those people who just repeats what you read, heard, or saw last. As the above post mention, apply critical thinking and your own perspective on the information. Always ask why
I saw something about taking a fact checking course that has helped some people to become more knowledgeable about these topics from both a national and global perspective, primarily due to the lack of reliable media sources.
I read, listen, and watch Al Jazeera, NPR, PBS, BBC, the AP, the Guardian, several European media outlets, CBC, local news, etc personally and will double check sources and facts. I also read anything someone sends to me that they may be concerned about or have seen because again, people see and hear different things.

if you’re not, why are you trying to force yourself to like it
Don't be programmed. Dig inwards and find what you feel about something. Then stick to that feeling and help others that feel the same way.
Trying to fit into a niche scene like Books(1% < sell over 50k copies) or the very controlled scene of podcasting. Will just get you twisted up and caring about something different weekly.
You're asking about where to be marketed at. Try some yoga and meditation and find you first. Then look for those like you.
