Are budget airlines like Sprint and Frontier as uncomfortable as they say? Do you end up paying more in fees than you save?

Please give me a rough estimate on how much hike we can expect in my annual salary revision. I expected 8LPA when I joined. They gave me 5LPA with a promise of revision in 3months after joining. They inc it to 7.75LPA after 4m and during appraisal cycle gave 25k 11months to make it to 8LPA. In Oct my hike is due, so I would to like negotiate my hike. Help!! My bestfriend is doing two months abroad and was trying to fly into turkey when they told her she couldn't because her passport expired within three months.

She went to the US Embassay in Athens knowing she had a month left of traveling, and gave her an emergency passport and punched holes in her exsisting one. Now no country will let her in with her emergency passport.
