Judging by the comments it sounds great.

Layoffs after layoffs
It's pretty much a train wreck I would say. I know quite a few of us who are actively trying to leave right now, but the market is so bleak that we're stuck here right now. I'd say avoid at all costs though
McCann without any Cannes means you're canned.
From experience, a Cannes doesn’t save you from lay offs 🫠
Pretty grim. Lots of chaos. Understaffed. Clients going out the door and no business coming in (despite pitching heavily all year).
Seems like the agency is in free-fall and it’s unclear if that will change under current leadership.

From the sound of these posts, it seems like they’re probably doing no better or worse than most holding co agencies right now. Every big agency is a mixed bag and most are struggling in some sense right now, I think: layoffs, people struggling to get promoted, etc.
I’m open to being wrong on this one, so feel free to correct me if you know of any that actually crushing it.
Yea every time someone posts in here asking about McCann there are tons of comment saying that it is a hot mess and to run. It seems like nobody is happy there and everyone is trying to find a role somewhere else.
I’ve been freelancing there for a number of months and I must say it’s been a really pleasant experience and the team I work with is kind, decent, and very collaborative. Not something to take for granted in this business.
The people there are amazing to work with. I don’t think any of the losses are agency’s fault, I think it’s just a terrible market right now.
I mean, IPG is selling R/GA not McCann which says a lot.
Client losses have to be someone’s fault. Failure to win pitches has to be someone’s fault. If they’re not, it means the people responsible for the business are above accountability.
Yikes
Hey McCanns, Who can I reach out to (and get a response) for freelance or staff? Not joking.
I’m waiting for it to get swallowed into Area23
Uh? I'm referring to McCann NY (consumer), not McCann Health, which has already been merged into Area 23.
What clients do they have left? Is NY lottery still there?
