India practices are obviously different from back office practices, in a good way. Client exposure is immense, you are in the front seat of the project, for better or worse. Culture is a bit on the lower side due to the nature and stress of work, building client relationships, bringing in business and working on proposals etc..you are in-charge for everything on your account.
All in all, country practices are always a good to have on your resume and it's all about experience and exposure vs work life balance. I have experienced both and am currently working with PwC India.
I am currently in pwc India assurance so if I am to tell you about that I will suggest not to come to pwc India if you are looking for better work life balance and better culture than Deloitte USI.
Heard PwC SDC poached lot of people from Deloitte USI and trying to grow. But they don't have many clients.
Deloitte could have retained them. But they're paying more attention towards lateral entries rather than existing employees.
They're paying way more to them and don't bother to negotiate with the existing resources.
Can someone answer - would ZS to PWC be a good switch?
