I am a recent graduate, I work as an Admin Assistant remote at the CEO office of a tech company. It is a high demanding area which I was aware of before I started.
The issue I'm having is that I graduated of English Linguistics major, with no experience, business insights, or special talent (In business and tech)
I've been promised training and dev by the company but it's been 7 months without any.
Please help a sis here, what things should I self learn, and what fields can I get into after AA

You’re already killing it by surviving 7 months in a high-demand CEO office. Start with project management tools like Asana, basic data tools, and communication platforms to get used to the etiquette. You've got opportunities in operations or product support. Roles that value organization and cross-team flow. You’ve got more experience than you think.

I have already started working on Clickup as a project management tool, and the company has its own communication platforms. Your advice is much appreciated though, I will start looking into operations and product support.

Nothing more frustrating to me than a company telling me they offer opportunities like that just to not receive any. Some things you could look into transitioning to are project management or coordination, operations, people ops. I’d try to narrow it down into what you might like and then pick from there what courses/certs to take.

I need advice from younger 🐠 who are closer to my son’s age than I am. He’s finishing up his 1st year in college and he’s gained the Freshman 15+. He plays a college sport, so he’s getting some activity, but with classes a hybrid of in-person and online, he’s not as active as usual and I think he’s enjoying unlimited food on his dining plan. I’ve heard jokes about the Freshman 15, but not seen how this plays out. Is this common? Do most people lose it when they adjust to college?

Has anyone reevaluated their retirement methods after a life-altering experience? I used to invest a lot more ($5k or so a month), but after losing one of my parents last year (mid-50s), I’ve wondered if it’s better to just enjoy life as we are living it. So, I started investing a lot less. But I always see people on here talking about all of these retirement schemes (backdoor Roth, mega-backdoor Roth, etc.) and I’m wondering if there’s a happy middle ground somewhere.

How do you manage your money?

I only bring in a little over $2,600 a month. After paying all my expenses, I get to put away $500 a month in savings but don’t have much wiggle room for anything else, including going out money.

I’m very privileged to have a significant inheritance and zero debt of any kind. I really wonder how my peers who have student loans, car payments, and even children manage to pay their bills and live so comfortably. Please share if this is you!

Happy Wednesday everyone. I'm so excited, I have a recruiter call scheduled with @Meta for Administrative Partner position. I've been in my current employer role for 19 years and I'm nervous as heck. I haven't had to do an interview in so long. Can someone please tell me what to expect with the recruiter call? I'm assuming it will be mostly about the role, my skills and background? Do they ask salary expectations? I have no idea what to say for the salary question. Feedback appreciated. Thanks
