I am applying to positions outside of my current state and I wonder if that impacts my chances of getting a job. I’m geographically flexible for the right opportunity. Mobility is something I can offer but is that a pro or a con. How does flexibility influence hiring decisions? I’m curious how much it truly matters and if they don’t give an offer because of relocation costs?

Current CTC : 15.7 LPA. HR called and informed max they can offer 19 LPA. Isn't that too less?
They said they it is based on feedback given in their system.

I’ll start - I’m an advisor in Wealth Management with TC of $70k, 3 YOE and no side hustle. Among other things, rent just jumped from $2500 to $3700 for 2 bedroom and areas were looking at. I’d like to “make it” here but if it means switching career to make money I’d like to get an idea to make the right job change.

Higher offers at 27-28 with more fixed pay is from contract and hire/fire type companies. Mostly indirect hiring instead of direct employment with the final employer, means higher pay with lower jon security - we get little more pay, companies get the option to let go with ease later!
