No it does. It needs to be personal in nature. Here’s a great link from the CFP. I was able to use my individual income tax experience to qualify (which was a stretch). Business finance does not count.

Sure! I mean, if you want to make wealth management or financial planning your career, I suggest looking into RIAs (they are usually more about financial planning or something similar), or wirehouses (like Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan, those type of places, which have large wash our rates and can be more sales oriented, but can be a good start), or investment oriented firms. I can breakdown the different types more if you’d like. There are a few decent starting type roles too if you want to know more.

100% agree, I don't think there's any similarity at all - that was my first thought when I read the post as well
They are like two different things. So technically, they don't count. But you can always take the skills applicable to both and make it as a leverage.
I don't think so. It will not be counted as work exeprience for the CFP requirements. But if you have any income tax experience, you can use that instead.
