I am currently a homegrown associate at a T2 consulting firm with 3+ years of experience. DoorDash S&O recently reached out to me for a Senior Associate position, but the base salary and bonus range they shared seems low. Does this role include an additional equity component as well? Additionally, is this position equivalent to my current role? I was aiming for Associate Manager or Manager-level roles instead DoorDash

Itd be hard to go for a manager position at 3 yoe I believe. It’s like you said, these companies (uber is similar) tend to not pay very well / work you quite hard as a lot of people want to work there. They’ll talk about the ‘opportunity’ you get to work there. Im not saying this is a bad career choice, but it’s something to take into account.

Best of luck!

What they really want is free labor during your interview. They’ll give you a take-home case study and then ghost you after; it’s been discussed ad naseum on FB. I would ignore the recruiter

like

The take home is so generic and they already know the answers. Don’t think they get any free labor or whatnot.

your bonus is an equity refresher so it’s one and the same & I think this info is readily available on their careers page. the total comp figured you’re quoted should be all in.

senior associate makes sense. AM/M trends to 5+ YOE

The talent acquisition team did not send me an offer letter instead have sent me a BGC form which I submitted yesterday. I found it very strange as usually first offer letter is rolled out and then BGC check happens if the candidate accepts the offer. Today there was no communication. Can anyone tell me if they faced this situation?TIA

Hi. I am a Transition teacher in California. I would like to know what is the ratio of students to staff for community outings in your districts? I have been teaching in my district for 20+ years and it has always been 4:1 ratio for our moderate/severe transition classes. Now our director is saying it's 6:1 and I don't feel like this is safe for our students.

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
