That's typical for the market right now. I tell people to expect a job search to take between 3-6 months. Even though there are a lot of positions and firms hiring, there are a lot of people on the market as well, so a lot of competition for each role. Just got to keep the process going.
So many factors go into this, I can usually tell from my first call with a candidate how long we will be at it, but I’m even surprised sometimes
There are many reasons this could happen. It could be that your interview pitch/messaging is off. Are you working with a recruiter and is that person prepping you for interviews? What practice area are you in?
I gave up after doing 126 interviews from late 2023-2025. Around 20 of those were final interviews. I even had two verbal offers fall through as well, both from CEOs directly.
