Transferring with EY? Push super hard for benefits etc. everyone I know who transferred to SG with EY were massively out of pocket and hit with a lot of surprises
Sub standard health cover , hence needed to pay to top up personal, no cover for the family despite having a dependents pass
Mobile phone is a self expense with a flat reimbursement each month
Pay for family visa (see point 1)
No credit card to expense on arrival, instead have to self pay in order to claim back (then throw in the tight must claim within x days)
Setting up costs in sg and only 2 weeks of paid accom!
Transferred with my company - they took care of all relocation details - and paid a preset amount for the move. Company has to sponsor your work visa, which is tied to that company. Once you’re working in SG you can find employment with another company but they have to sponsor your work visa (which is again tied to that company). If you make enough money (the requirements are pretty high) you can apply for a PEP visa, which is tied directly to you, and allows you to work for any company (they don’t have to sponsor your visa) but the PEP visa expires after I believe 2 years, isn’t renewable, and requires you to get a company-sponsored work visa. So long story short, get a job offer from a company that’s willing to sponsor your visa and then explore options once here.
