Keep rank/grades. If I see a lateral without them I assume they had low grades. Clubs if you were leadership because it makes you more interesting. Awards if they are impressive (I also wouldn’t want to see CALIs but if you got other awards I would want to know.) Same for college. If you did a varsity sport, keep that on your resume. If you were just a member of a club, I’d be inclined to delete that information.
As a recruiter, I don’t include gpa, and only include rank if it’s beneficial, like top5, 10, 15%. You’re going to submit your transcripts anyway, so gpa will typically be an elimination factor. Do include any Latin honors, UG and law school, as well as moot court and law review. Don’t include classes or CALI awards. Scholarships yes, typically no to clubs, unless it highlights diversity, like BLSA, outLaw, ASLA/SALSA.
That was super helpful! Thank you!
Depends what you have to say
Rank and grades if they're good, awards if they're relevant to your area (and aren't CALI awards for good grades). Everything else can go imo
Personally, I don't find them impressive (and I received a handful). There's just not many law school classes that getting a good grade in means anything for your ability to practice at a high level once you're 3+ years in. If you were a good student, that should reflect in your rank/gpa
