I am planning on asking for a raise in my base salary and I am unsure what the market price would be for my skills at a staffing agency. I am in the top producer at my company with over 50 producers. I generate an average of $120k in GM per quarter. I am approaching my first year end review and I am currently at a base salary of $70,000 and I have 3 years of prior experience in the industry. What should I be asking for in this situation?

Base salary is a nonstarter in so many staffing agency comp plans so it’s hard to compare - I have a very low base with a strong commission plan. I’ve been in the industry for almost 10 years with a base salary lower than yours, but make 50%+ (roughly) of my deals annually. You may need to look at your total comp more as a function of your total annual production rather than just looking at base.

Hello fine people,
I have a question. I am a GDS employee wishing to relocate to another country as EY country “x” employee. The plan to relocate to country x was already in motion, if not EY then another org. The EY partner from country x is very interested in having me join their team but not sure about my GDS partner because they will be losing billing and may not like it. Is there a way I can approach this with my leaders? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I’m pretty torn on whether I want to take an offer for an internal role or not…
The job itself sounds pretty interesting. Lots of opportunity for growth (eventually will build out a team).
