Anyone in dc? Let’s get fucked up
Hi fishers! I have offer and signed contract with Deloitte UK and my start day is in the beginning of April. I need skilled worker visa, and we haven’t applied yet for that. Screening and onboarding is in progress. Immigration team doesn’t reply since reached me out 1st time. How much time does it usually needed to go through the whole process? How many days take for visa to be approved since application?Deloitte

For the sake of having a paper trail, I'd take to my boss but also email them a resignation letter with your final date of employment so there's no chance of misunderstanding. Employers still respect two weeks notices. Thank them for the opportunity, and that's all you need to say and should say.

Yes that’s a good point
I would suggest going with the standard two-week notice. It's courteous to deliver the news in person, but it's also good to back that up with an email confirming the conversation. You can say as much as you want in the email, but it's probably most prudent to be businesslike and polite and not go on at great length.

Thank you !
I always write a letter of resignation and give it to my manager. I think thats the proper way to do it and then I always give a copy to HR as well. That is how I have always done it and how I was taught, but I never give more than two weeks unless they ask if I can stay longer.
