Hi 🐠, connecting documents for I-485 filling. Any insight on the medical check? I don't have vaccination records. Is this required?

You don’t submit past vaccination records to USCIS. These are typically used when you go to the doctor for the immigration medical, but also not required. It’s merely to avoiding having to re-do vaccines.

It’s ok if you don’t have the records. When you go to the doctor they will have to give you all the required shots then they will give you evidence that they gave it to you. They may take a blood test to check for anti bodies.

I feel like I’m on the outside looking in and I don’t like what I see. I haven’t returned to teaching this year because I was overwhelmed by what was being asked of us and chose to use all of my sick time instead. From this perspective, I see teachers being used and abused. I see teachers asking questions about situations that should never be tolerated. We are the professionals. Why are we allowing this? It’s the Stockholm Syndrome for education. We provide a valuable service. Remember that.

I constantly see caution from those practicing advising newbies to cut and run/quit this profession. Do you feel you were ill prepared for what being a lawyer actually entails or is it more burnout? What led you to law and what has pushed you to advise those considering law or about to start practicing to consider alternatives?

I joined Deloitte in 19’ and don’t buy into the circlejerk that seems to go on both for / against the company - I like being a part of the firm but am underwhelmed with where the recent compensation cycle resulted. I have an opportunity with a small business to get a roughly $45k salary increase, but would have 2 sacrifice the security of Deloitte, wfh and paternity leave, which will come into play this fall as we have a baby due in November. Anyone make a similar switch before or havethoughts?

Does this sound plausible, or am I overthinking based on a small sample? 2. How would you highlight your fit/interest in moderately quantitative roles?
