I am thinking of joining Meta as a contingent contract worker in the CWX program as a software engineer. Can anyone provide me with some information about the quality of this program?

Will I be on Meta's payroll or will I be paid by some random 3rd party?

The main reason I am considering this is that I want to be able to put a FAANG company on my resume, which I won't be able to do if they are hiring me through a 3rd party. Also, how are the conversion prospects?

Just made a career pivot and accepted a job with Progressive in sales. I’ve heard more good things than bad about the company. I have a coworker who keeps spouting comparative odds and situations in regards to the safety of the vaccine. Such as: you're twice as likely to get hit by lightening than have blod clots from JJ. It's very annoying and I find it to be really inapprorpriate, maybe because it's pushy or just I find these comparative things to be a bit irrelevant. How does one handle something like that? Can you shut the person down without starting a spat?
