Hi, incoming Noogler here. Does Google have company retreats nowadays? (Assuming it was paused during the pandemic) And if so, are these retreat often organised at a country level? Or a department? Or a team? Would be great if you can share your past experiences with going on one of these retreats :)

I have 6 yrs of HR exp, a PHR cert & an HRIP cert. I recently left my role as an HR Rep at a tech co b/c I was working 60+/week and the stress of the job was affecting my health. I recently received an offer at a new tech co that is $10k less than what I was previously making with comments from current EEs that this new co has a better WLB. Total comp is still a lot less than my prev company. Is less comp too much of a compromise for better WLB? What have you compromised for a better WLB?
I am SHRM certified. I believe both organizations professional development trainings allow you to grow your HR intelligence. HRCI & SHRM Webcast provide excellent trend based training & SHRM membership allows you access to compliance toolkits & articles.
Either is acceptable. You could look into the actual HRBP certification there are many out there. AIHR's is the lowest price.
I didn't know that was a thing, thanks!
I'd go with SHRM. This one will really help you especially if you want to pursue leadership. This is also good for HR business partners since it is knowledge-based.
I think SHRM tends to be pretty valuable, it's the one I'm looking into at the moment
SHRM, for their reputation and resources
