I came to Sweden in August 2023 and it's been very difficult to get a job here. I have applied to thousands of jobs via different platforms and did a few interviews but got rejected.
I have over 8 years of industry experience in Web Development and am currently on my Masters Program in Software Engineering. Yet, I get a rainfall of rejections. This is tiring and I really don't know what to do anymore, I'm very frustrated already. The language barrier is another big problem.

I am a career changer on mo 4 of a 6 mo sourcer/researcher contract that I’m not sure will be renewed due to team re-organizing. I have 5 YOE basically in an HR generalist role at a company that didn’t have an official HR function, building systems from the ground up. I also have my SHRM-CP. Hi all - Soliciting feedback on comp for a new role.
Last role was an engineering manager at 185k, 10% bonus, RSUs, paid healthcare.
The first offer was a bit underwhelming. I'm trying to think of creative ways to respond with a counter offer. Offer is 150k base with 10k bonus, no equity or stock, and insurance premiums are a bit expensive. Base and bonus are what I have to work with. Initial thoughts were to give a hard "no" and continue interviewing.

I recently received an offer at Accenture UK in Edinburgh as an L9 software engineering team lead. I have 3 YOE. Compensation package is £40, 000 base and a sign on bonus of £4000. What should I be expecting at this role? Is the offer good enough?

1. I enjoy the people management more than individual contributor stuff. What career paths do you see in our industry for people who are managing support engineering teams?
2. What certifications are valued today? Seems like being a AWS Cloud Practitioner is a good general one, but are there others that stand out?

I don't like my job, the responsibilities and tasks aren't right for me or my lifestyle.

Key positives for my current employer are pay and security. But my new role within the company isn't working for me, and ultimately I don't think it is for the company either.

A much much smaller (20 people) company offered me a role.

With the global economic situation as is, is it worth the risk to change to a job I know i'd like more with less pay, and potentially less job security?

Anyone switch companies and either regret it or are glad they did?
