I feel the same. I was saddened to see how many educators were glorifying going up to work over summer. To each their own. I’ve done it too. Just… times are different and work is so much more stressful than it was 15 years ago.

My go to for managing stress is planning mental health days and scheduling them week 1 for myself to look forward to.

I’m about to go read your “Rule of Two.” Thank you for this post. I felt a little alone feeling stressed about going back. This helped.

I am right there with you OP but I have realy had to take a step back and remember that summer is mine to enjoy and school will be there when it is time. I am not letting myself get stressed and waste the rest of my summer away.

I am really proud of myself, except for some workshops and professional development stuff, I've done less school related activities this summer than I ever have (of course i may regrert it when I start prepping for next year.). Today is Hubz' birthday, but I plan on going in fro a few days this week.

There’s no excuse that by the age of 25 you have never tried therapy. I’m speaking directly to the demographic in this group who I’m sure over 95% of people in here are earning 6 figures. Key word: TRY. I understand it’s not for everyone but to have never even attempted seeking therapy is a injustice to yourself and the people around you.

Is genetic carrier screening prior to starting an ivf cycle necessary? I tested and found some disorders. Now my RE won’t start my cycle until my partner is tested. They are saying they will have to do special PGT tests if we are carriers of the same disorder. I am confused. I thought this type of testing was optional and usually recommended if you are using a donor. My guess is that they are booked and pushing me to the Jan cycle. Thoughts?

I’m hosting family from America in my home in Europe this week. Being away for just a couple of years has made me really aware of American tendencies. They’re fat and literally are only always thinking of their next meal. We can eat, and they want to talk about dinner. Does anyone have a list of the things (food, drink, other OTC meds) that make adderall less effective? I know I can simple google search and ask my doctor but want to hear other peoples thoughts…I love drinking my coffee to wake me up in the morning but I’m afraid it’s making my meds less bc of its acidic nature 😵
