Solution I found: work under partners that cannot stand AI and enforce that vicariously upon the juniors.
How about partners being obsessed with AI on the other end of the spectrum? Partner I work with has taken to using AI tools for pretty much everything. Have client docs that need to be reviewed? AI. Have a question you don't know the answer to? AI. Even using it to draft full-blown client memos (and it is painfully obvious AI did it with all the awkwardly worded bullets and chart summaries). I'm honestly so over it. Big proponent of using AI where it can help streamline tasks, but the work product it creates is just garbage and half the time the "guidance" it generates is just plain not what the law, regs, etc. actually say or stand for.
Partner I work for keeps joking that AI can do it so much faster than me. Thanks, I hate it.
Same. I don't really have a solution. I'm a big fan of using AI as an aid but you can't get sloppy and quit thinking. A time or two I've been able to impress on a junior that their mistake would have been malpractice had I not caught it. Sometimes they care about that but sometimes they don't get it.
Yeah, that might be the answer. I don't want to be too hard on them, but I think they might just need to hear the "you messed up" feedback.

I can tell who is using AI when they turn in a 1-2 paragraph analysis that’s just wrong. It will get better though jrs just need to be very careful right now and know its limits
I hate that both the partner above me and associates below me are forwarding automated Harvey analyses, and I need to clean up 🙄. What does this signal, innovation or insufficient ownership of work product?
Set early deadlines. I think that's a common thing for juniors so that there's time for them to incorporate feedback. The availability of AI tools shouldn't change basic project management.
I do this whenever possible, but sometimes it's a short fuse project. Which is probably why it's so tempting to turn in unedited AI output in those instances.
