Should you use all your sick days?
Hello All,
I have recently joined FIS Global around end of April. My mother recently met with an accident and she needs to be operated.
I haven't been able to update the anything regarding the insurance part yet on FIS portal.
Will my mother's treatment be covered under the insurance? If yes, what's the procedure for the same? What are the documents that I need to submit in order to claim the amount?
Can anyone please guide?

They are telling me not to speak to my managers and only go through HR. They are sending me Desk Assessments when I am off sick waiting to hear if I have cancer. They put my sick leave in the timesheet system as holiday leave, and they are requesting catch up calls with them when I am quite ill. They said I could postpone if I wanted, but this concerns me, so I agreed to continue with it. I requested (before I finally had to give in work wise and was signed off), that I could have an Occ Health review. Nurse interviewed me and wrote a letter same day to my employers and said 'not fit to work and should be signed off'. Nurse also forwarded my case (due to complex medical history) to am Occ Health Dr. The Dr said exactly same thing and that when I do return to work, it should be a slow phase at 50% of hours until well enough.
My concern is that I know how others are treated by my employers and I feel very concerned with the safety of my job. What else can I do to protect myself? I already work from home (I was employed as fully remote as a global firm, and a lot of my hours are excessive due to requests by overseas colleagues).
I have several times spoken to leadership about the excessive (unpaid) overtime, and asked for one non working day a week so I can keep up to date with medical tests and have that day to help with my chronic fatigue. They say 'block out your calendar and don't make yourself available, but it's the directors who ask for my help. It's the Directors who book meetings in my family time and everything has been urgent since the day I joined. I am on my 6th Manager since I joined 18 months ago because they either left, or were pushed.
It's a very pressured environment and always has been. I need to remain with a form that will accept my fully remote role. I am classed as exceptional in my appraisal and I was given a promotion, but it's the pace and pressure that is exacerbating my health issues.
I welcome any advice you can give please.
Thanks, in advance.
