What title? What company are you at now?

Deloitte. I’m not sure. What level am I eligible for? I’m guessing with acc it’d be consultant. Not sure with slalom

You’d be a consultant at both - what’s your Salesforce background (cert count, Cloud expertise, techno vs func, etc...)? What city?

-3 certs but may get another very soon
- great at service cloud but decent with sales
- functional
-currently in Dallas but I told both that I’d be willing to move to sf or Atlanta as well

90k-100k is a reasonable expectation, 110k in SFO

Wow that’s lower than I expected. I’m already making 105k

Comp is comparable at both firms

Deloitte will pay more, honestly I’d recommend making SC and then you’d have leverage to move to a higher level at another firm

Accenture will pay you between 100-115 and 10-15k signing bonus. You should come in as L9

Just to confirm acc1 is l9 con level? Whats the requirement of time u have to stay to keep the signing bonus and what are avg performance bonus % for l9? Thanks

I am trying to get out on Contract Negotiations and get into strategy consulting but recently got invited to apply for a Contract negotiation position at a sustainability consulting firm by a head hunter. This position is with a fast growing start up and would allow for great career growth, experience, and over 100k in salary (only make $70k now). Any advice on how to weigh these very different opportunities?

Jr. Associate at an AmLaw 100 firm in Central Florida. Good credentials; top 10% at T14, law review. Sick of private practice bc of hours and pressure. Also, not enjoying the work that Central Florida offers, but want to live here.

I want to one day have my own firm. Trying to think outside the box on how to get the experience w/o being in big law for ten years.

Thinking of applying to be an ASA and to the FL AGO. Would like trial experience or civil rights/con law work.

Thoughts appreciated!

Totally disinterested in tax, have 2.5 years experience and masters in accounting. Banking and finance jobs for about 3 years before I got into accounting. Just started actively looking in industry, but fear that if I continue to stay in my current position, I will get pigeonholed into tax only positions in the future. Cont...

Hey y'all, kind of a two part question:
1. I enjoy the people management more than individual contributor stuff. What career paths do you see in our industry for people who are managing support engineering teams?
2. What certifications are valued today? Seems like being a AWS Cloud Practitioner is a good general one, but are there others that stand out?

Hi Everyone. I completed my 1 year in EY in October 2022. And in my profile, they have updated it to Senior Analyst now. But that was a progression that happens every year and I have not received the incremented salary.

Now that they are giving increments to everyone, will I receive both progression and increment or my progression will be counted as increment.

Highly confused.

Has anyone found a way to automate salary certifications?

We get about 3-5 requests daily to fill out salary certifications for our employees in EMEA.

At the moment, we have to do all of them manually. We open a pdf, then open their employee file and plug away. It's tedious and time-consuming, but the banks I found won't accept an internal salary certification for some reason. They're adamant about using their form. Has anyone come across this?

Hi all - just joining and looking for some guidance! I am currently in an IT internship position (making pretty solid money considering) and following this summer I will stay on part time during my senior year (discussing a full-time job offer after already). How do I advocate myself for that to my manager without sounding unappreciative of the position I’m in?

I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this.

Does anyone who switched from consulting to product management have any recommendations of h helpful PM books, courses, or programs?
