Hi everyone. Is it typical for the attorney to take credit for the work a paralegal does? An example: I gave some ideas about deposition questions and some observations I made (I was asked about giving suggestions) regarding a witness and the attorney mentioned that he’s the one that had these great questions/observations. Zero credit or thank you for the work I did.

I’ve been a paralegal for about 30 years in private law firmS. As I get older, I feel like it’s time for a semi-career change. Currently a paralegal at a small start up financial services company been there for just a little over a year. I wear “multiple hats” but more recently I’ve done a lot of PM work and some BA work. My position title is changing soon but I’m wondering how helpful that would be for wanting to go into PM work at a tech company. Anyone have any career pivot advice? So I’ve been with a court for a while and honestly the pay sucks compared to what paralegals should be making… the benefits are great though and they match my retirement 100% now that I’m vested at 3 years.I have 4 kids and 1 is getting ready for college. I feel like the benefits are great but I’d rather make more now. I am a previous LEO for 4 years who switched to paralegal so I have my leo retirement. Paralegals here make $28 with no benefits what is a good compromise
