I think a Remote/Hybrid EA/PA/AA would be just as effective as being in-person. With texting, video conferencing, phone calls, and email being at our literal fingertips, communication is readily available.
Cloud computing makes document sharing, scheduling, and project management accessible anywhere, as well. Not to mention services like DoorDash, TaskRabbit, and others can make deliveries and pickups super convenient.
That's absolutely true.

About 75% of the execs I work with don't even live in the same state as I do. Out of the few that do, I barely see them in person. While I prefer hybrid, especially for the ability to connect more with other members of the admin team, I could easily work fully remote and just come in as needed to help out with the rare in person meetings for those I support. The execs I have the best relationships are ones that don't even live in the same time zone. We've got open communication and dialogue. Between teams messages and calls, emails and texts, there's never been an issue.
I’ve worked fully remote for 4 years and honestly it depends on how effective you and your executive communicate and the relationship you have built with each other. Two of my execs live in my area but only one comes into the office regularly, the other comes in once a month and my third lives in California.
