Hello fishes,
So what is your experience in increasing ECTC while getting subsequent job offers? How much increase shall we ask on top of previous offer? E.g. Current max I have is 25lpa, how much can I ask HR from next company? Infosys Accenture Deloitte KPMG Hashedin by deloitte Nagarro Tata Consultancy HCL Technologies Wipro

Rising Star
It really depends on the project dynamics with the client. There's a variety of reasons that they want that much lead time to make the decision. Reasons might include:
- Client likes you and you've been proposed for the next phase. If they take you off now before they get the next phase signed, then it puts the next phase in jeopardy. Giving lots of notice allows them time to get the contract signed and then roll you off.
- Client is very sensitive with people leaving and joining, they will need time to position someone new and build The client's confidence in them.
- Bench is very tight and they need time to find the right resource to backfill you.
- etc.

I think it's pretty normal for all the reasons SM1 stated above. We are running a business after all.
Nope. You leave your project when you can get your role backfilled. It should be as simple as that. Please let’s not ruin this profession.
