If you quit before they fired you, I would just say you resigned the position
I agree with the person above. You quit before they fired you so no, it shouldn't follow you around forever. Just keep any documentation of your resignation in case it comes up later.
I'm not sure why they would pull something like that. Out of pettiness I guess? Either way, you resigned, and I assume you have written proof of that. I wouldn't worry about it.

no,do not post it on your resume
Or,if you do -explain honestly this was not a right fit for you and you resigned.Apply for unemployment asap as it takes 1 month or longer to receive first paycheck. Past experience,No.Not sure how long you worked with them i would exclude from resume and find some good references to counteract.Dont tell next job anything negative-Be yourself,Be transparent,Dont be scripted-if you are not hired It was not the right place for you..There are many jobs out there for nursing.
