I feel like every biomedical researcher eventually runs into the experiment that should work on paper but refuses to cooperate in reality. I’ve had projects where everything in the literature suggested a clear outcome, and then the data just didn’t behave. Those moments are frustrating but also strangely educational. I interviewed for a role with the Enterprise Risk Team at EY. I told them my salary requirements were $105 k before the interview. They said it should be ok if I'm brought in as a Senior 1. After the interview, they said they want to bring me in as a Staff2 at $84k with $3k signing bonus. I'm trying to get on a call to negotiate further...do these numbers sound right to you all?

I’m currently being recruited pretty seriously for a in-vivo technician position in the auto-immune team, but I already have a job lined up at Envigo as a small animal sx tech. Salaries would be comparable (Lilly would most likely be a little more with bonuses), but if the culture sucks, I’d hate to burn a bridge with Envigo.
