No, actually they aren’t. Polls show him ahead. But that’s nationally and similar to Hillary. He probably will win the popular vote just as Hillary did. But as for the electoral college, who the hell knows what will happen in the states...swing states are too unpredictable.

PM1 The states are represented in both Congress and by the President at the Federal level (and in the Federal judicial branch since they are nominated and approved by the other two branches).
Representation in government is absolutely fundamental to our Constitution. The electoral college is designed with exactly the same balance between population and states, since it would obviously be unworkable to have two Presidents.
If we removed the electoral college, the net result is that less populated states would have NO voice in Presidential elections. Dense urban areas would determine every President from that point forward. Every Federal judge would be nominated by Presidents chosen by cities alone.
Since urban areas and rural areas have very different priorities and care more about different issues, this would also lead to Prrsudential candidates ONLY caring about urban issues, and ONLY campaigning in dense urban areas. They would no longer have any reason to care what rural citizens wanted, and would side with the big cities every time.
The logical result is that less populated states would correctly see that they no longer have representation at the Federal level. How long would it take before they would start saying “no taxation without representation”? Why would they continue to agree to be part of a Federal union of states that constantly ignores their priorities and inevitably allocates their resources to cities? Why should they agree to remain part of a system like that?
I honestly love it lmao. Can’t wait to see all the news anchors with tears streaming down their faces again when LibCookiecutter v2 loses

I hope that trump supporters continue the arrogance of winning in 2016. Will make an unexpected loss in 2020 all the more satisfying. By all means carry on in this belief.
It’s not unexpected bc the media again is saying Biden will crush Trump
