I feel like my fiancé(and his family) are treating our wedding like a family reunion and it’s driving me a little crazy. We are having a “Welcome Cocktail Hour” and his parents are annoyed that we’re only inviting immediate family and close friends. So the people pleaser that my fiancé is, wants to try to get the hotel we’re having the cocktail hour at, to allow us to have more people to please his parents. After we’ve already sent out invites. Note that his parents aren’t paying a dime.

My manager nominated me for judging a small programme happing virtually with two other head of the Department, but when I joined the programme someone from office outside was included for that with director and those two HODs were also not there... I prepared my speech, well dressed up but when hosts announce the name of judges I felt bad... he could have atleast informed me... everytime he does the same kind of thing and than says in corporate sector types of politics happens...

Anyone unsure of what to do for bridesmaids “proposals?” I want them to get excited and feel special but when I see how much money I’d be spending on things like custom totes or mugs I’m like is it really worth it? I’d send cards but most of my bridal party I see pretty regularly/they live nearby so it seems odd to send them something when I live down the street. Help! 😅

Getting married in September, have a vax only policy for guests. My fiancé’s sister is bringing her unvaccinated spouse to the hotel where all the wedding festivities are being held b/c she is too scared to fly on an airplane without him. I find this incredibly uncomfortable and selfish given it will put me and my fiancé in an uncomfortable position (and it will also put my elderly parents and other vulnerable fam members at risk).
