Just signed the outside employment form in KPMG onboarding system. I actually wanted to start dabbling in creative writing as a potentially monetizable hobby, but I'm guessing this may pose issues.
Definitely interested in the "exception from this policy may be requested if provision of non-professional services doesn't interfere with one's duties of causes conflict of interest" clause, though. Has anyone been able to get one of those before?

First, do your best to reduce your expenses as much as possible. If you do an audit, you will likely find that you are paying for more than you absolutely need to. Second, just start applying while you are still employed. It's hard because applying for jobs is stressful and you're already dealing with a lot, but five or six applications a day will only take you less than an hour and you'll be making progress, which should help with your mental health. I'm really sorry for what you're going through, I've definitely been there.
Yes 100% agree. Rest is important. With high cost of living its hard to rest these days. :(
Get a new job before leaving
How do you know for certain that you will get a job that is not awful for the next position?
In terms of making sure the next position isn’t bad, try to ask questions about what is important to you, research the company, and do your best to find a decent next opportunity. Nothing is guaranteed. Due diligence, and do what you can.
Top deal breaker is health and financial stability for my family.
Explain your health issues to your boss and see what he/she can do about it.
This is a good idea as well. But my fear is what is the standard that they use to qualify you as disabled or need for modification. The work compensation field seems sketchy
I'm so sorry you feel this way. I'm an outsider looking in so please forgive me for chiming in here but I've been blessed to work with some excellent physical therapists and they all loved their job.
You mention disability/workman's comp, which is sadly ironic given the field you are in but of course things can happen to anyone. I've met PTs who specialized in particular areas. Maybe a different area would be a better fit for you? I hope you find what you need - it's best to have something lined up before moving on. All the best to you.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I think I may need to practice in another state. I don’t like having limited time with patients and working in high volume clinics
