I got a call from infosys HR for salary discussion and I said I was okay with the offer, they said they will be proceeding with my candidature and 4 days later they said they can’t proceed as they couldn’t get the approval. Don’t know what went wrong?

I’m pretty sure I’m about to get an offer and I’d like to stall a few weeks to get my bonus. Any recommendations on how to do that?
