I had cleared the interview and after the HR discussion, I checked my application status and could see that its on hold state. The reason written is that we dont have any opening matching your expected compensation. I didn't know that for level 10, 13.2 LPA is the maximum they can offer. When I had discussion with the HR told my expectation as 14 LPA as fixed, she didn't negotiate then,just my profile on hold and no one is replying now. I am ready to negotiate now but how can I do that now?

Is the Hr lying when they told me the salary is not negotiable? How to properly respond and get my base higher? My last job’s HR told me the same thing but I found out My pay is 20% lower than my colleges.
