I had cleared the interview and after the HR discussion, I checked my application status and could see that its on hold state. The reason written is that we dont have any opening matching your expected compensation. I didn't know that for level 10, 13.2 LPA is the maximum they can offer. When I had discussion with the HR told my expectation as 14 LPA as fixed, she didn't negotiate then,just my profile on hold and no one is replying now. I am ready to negotiate now but how can I do that now?

Is it wrong that I’m just not into PE/VC? It seems to be the most desirable exit for most people that I work with. The work seems like it’s not a good fit for me but it feels crazy to pass up trying to get that amount of money when there really isn’t a realistic alternative to that amount of wealth (and I do want that amount of wealth).

Hi Everyone, Started my career in government 5 years ago working in an operational role, then focussed on HR for 3 years working my way up to a middle manager role in HR as a business partner and completed my Level 7 CIPD. I work for a late stage(ipo) start up, earlier this year we were acquired & since then they got rid of our yearly bonuses and gave us an ESOP grant.
2 RIFs later we are almost bare bones. Since we are coming up on our usual yearly evaluations many of us assumed (with multiple conversation from our managers) that pay raises and promotions were due.
In a recent All hands we found out that this year there will be no pay raises nor promotions based off merit. Is it time to jump ship?
