I had initial phone conversation with HR for financial analyst role. She asked me what my salary expectations were and I said 95k to 105k depending on benefits. To that she proceeded to explain what benefits they offer. On a same day I got a call back for live interview with HR and 2 managers. Am I to assume that salary expectation I provided is within their range?

However I note that there was withholding of some amount in 2017-2018 and 2019 tax years ( withholding from comission received from insurance commission from lic and United india)

A month ago the recruiter said that they are waiting on some approvals and once it is done we will be issuing the offer letter but I haven't heard back any other update since then. Just landed a full time gig, looking to get some furniture so I’m not working on my parents’ kitchen table during this remote period. Any recommendations for desks and chairs? I’m hoping to find something that’s easy to assemble and break down for when I need to move, and something that won’t cost an arm and a leg.

I know everyone has a different kind of setup that works for them. I currently have a laptop, drawing pad, second monitor, and a desk riser.

My firm’s IT (especially system saving and file locating function) is so bad 😐😞 and they keep doing updates no one asked them for just to mess with the stuff we already got a hang of without doing anything about the issues we actually need fixed. Anyone else in a similar boat? Do you bill the client for the time it takes to fix the IT issue (or IT inefficiency generally, like time taken to find a file in a convoluted system)? Or is that supposed to be our non-billable time?
